1973 VW Thing
We have owned this less than a year, only reason we are selling is that I need the room for another car. Original color is yellow then at some point painted dark green then camouflaged by the PO. Pans are solid with the exception of one spot under the right hand side of the drivers seat. Runs good and fun to drive and looks cool with the American Racing Torque Thruster wheels.
It comes with frame for the soft top but no soft top, VWOA hardtop included with all new hardware and side glass only. Hardware needs mounting. Comes with the gas heater but not installed.
Includes aftermarket Thing only dual exhaust.
Also included are the original thing wheels.
Will include a box full of misc parts purchased from The Thing Shop.
There are a few areas needing some TLC on the body but it looks like it has never been hit. Nice straight bumpers. The motor is 1600 and had a recent tuneup by PO but could use a bit more TLC.
