VW Thing Convertible Top

Selling the original gas 1.6l engine from my 1979 Volkswagen Rabbitas I converted it to a diesel. It last ran July 23rd. It has roughly 85k miles on it.

Includes pretty much everything you need to get it to run including the coil, fuel pump, and accumulator.

It ran CIS Basic so it is completely mechanical fuel injection, no computer. Only power needed is to the coil.

Photos show everything included. 

I have an engine crane to help load.

1979 Volkswagen Rabbit 1.6L Engine

This Volkswagen tow bar is made from heavy duty steel and has a 1-7/8 inch ball receiver. Installation is easy on your Standard Beetle, Karmann Ghia or Thing. The VW tow bar is designed to slide under the front of the vehicle. The tow bar is then lifted up and attaches to the front beam of the car and is secured with the included, tow bar pins. Remember to always use a safety chain and never back up when towing any VW with a tow bar.

Excellent condition and great to have for any VW enthusiast. 

Very nice to be able to collapse it for storage or to transport.

1974 Volkswagen Thing rust free body. This was a project I started, and during the project, I moved and lost interest in it. I
have many new parts and used parts from a 1973 Volkswagen Thing. Most of the parts are packed in 2 crates. The original rust was
